Project Details

The owners of the Miami1One Shopping Centre contracted Alder Constructions to undertake a refurbishment of the exterior finishes and construction of new awnings to the existing shopping centre.

The shopping centre is located adjacent to the busy Gold Coast Highway at Miami, and therefore presented some very logistical and unique safety challenges with local government (Gold Coast City Council) and Queensland Department of Main Roads. In addition to this, the shopping centre continued to trade throughout the refurbishment and therefore required detailed planning and programming for the works. With the large amount of vehicular and pedestrian traffic day and night, the safety of the project was up utmost importance.

With the location of Miami1One Shopping Centre right on the Gold Coast Highway and its high prominence in the area, the client was very conscious of the street appeal and appearance of the centre. The works, once completed, transformed the façade of the shopping centre and gave it a renewed look and vitality.

Alder Constructions delivered all of the required works on the project 2 weeks ahead of programme projected date, which made the client, the shopping centre tenants and the affected public very pleased with the outcome.
