Project Details

Alder secured this Building the Education (BER) project in August 2009 through regarded international architectural firm, Peddlethorp Architects.

Shortly after being awarded this project, Alder were warmly welcomed to the team by the highly respected school Principal, Mr Peter Anderson. It was evident from the project outset that this unified team mentality, which Alder strives to achieve on all of our projects, was to form the basis of a hugely successful project for all key stakeholders involved.¬†Peddlethorp’s project architect, Ms Caroline Yuen, provided a design that not only had outstanding colour and flair, but also accurately captured the values and feel of this tight knit community based College.

The works comprised of the careful demolition of an existing classroom building, construction of a new 940m2 two-storey Resource Centre and GLA classroom building and refurbishment of three Early Years Centre classrooms being approximately 100m2 in size. Additionally, Alder worked hand in hand with the delivery team to refurbish other classrooms whilst working within the overall project budget.

Even though a lot of additional works were added to the original scope of works, Alder were still able to deliver the project on time ready for the 2010 school commencement term.
