Asset Renewal on the rise
Alder’s Asset Renewal has hit the ground running, accumulating approximately $12.5m in projects already completed and currently underway.
A standalone business unit created earlier this year in response to the significant growth and demand of the company’s remedial services, Asset Renewal focuses on working with existing building and structures to breathe new life into them as well as ensure they conform to current building standards.
Under the leadership of General Manager Shane Pelczer, Asset Renewal has completed various projects across the Gold Coast and Brisbane. Recent projects include the $1.4 million Olympus Podium Refurbishment, the $0.73 million Peppers Soul Combustible Cladding Replacement, and the $0.6 million Mantra on View Waterproofing and Façade Rectification. Condition evaluations for various overhead structures at Griffith University have also been conducted across the Gold Coast and Brisbane campuses.
Looking ahead, the team is slated to complete several projects by December 2024. These projects include the $3.6 million Peppers Soul Façade Repaint, the $1.9 million Reflections Tower 1 Replacement of Combustible Cladding, and the $0.24 million Royal Pines Bridge Repairs. Additionally, the Asset Renewal Team will address the $5.4 million Xanadu Podium Refurbishment, covering an area of 3700m², with scheduled completion in February 2025.
The team has also been awarded contracts by various Government entities, including the $1.1 million Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre (GCCEC) Awning Replacement and the $7.1 million Gold Coast Waterway Authority (GCWA) Sand Bypass Pumping Jetty Repaint.
Mr Pelczer, who has been with the company for two decades, says the success of Alder’s latest business is testament to the company’s dedication to continued growth and ability to pinpoint opportunities in the market for the company to expand. Over the next 12 months, Alder Asset Renewal will expand its presence in the Gold Coast, Brisbane, and Northern NSW.
“Our Asset Renewal team has experienced a whirlwind year since the division’s creation at the start of the year,” says Mr Pelczer.
“The response the Asset Renewal team have received demonstrates Alder’s innate ability to recognise areas in the construction industry that can accommodate expansion followed by a quick response to set up the infrastructure and experienced team required to establish a prominent presence in the sector.
“I am immensely proud of the work undertaken and the project’s completed by our team this year and I look forward to further growing this division in the new year.”
