Construction kicks off at Airlie Summit
Alder Constructions has commenced works on one of the last major subdivision sites in the suburb of Airlie Beach.
Alder Developments secured the 24-hectare parcel of land, known as Airlie Summit, which has development approval for the creation of 89 new residential and apartment lots. Civil works are now underway on the Lookout Release, comprising 16 new residential lots, which will be ready to be built upon by mid-2023.
Sitting on top of the highest zoned land in Airlie Beach, Alder Developments General Manager Greg Tupicoff says the size and shape of each block has been carefully considered to make the most of its natural attributes with each offering expansive island, bay and ocean views.
“Our vision has been firmly set on creating a unique master-planned community where like-minded neighbours can enjoy this rare and incredible location, connected to nature within this unspoilt national park setting,” Mr Tupicoff said.
“Sitting some 200 metres above sea level and occupying the highest remaining zoned land in Airlie Beach, we’ve purposely embraced the natural slope of the hillside. We intend to maximise the views that expand to almost 180 degrees stretching from Pioneer Point in the Whitsunday Islands to the Coral Sea Marina, Pigeon Island and beyond, and overlooking the town of Airlie Beach and the bay.
“Beyond the views, the focus on maintaining each block’s natural slope and aspect invites a more interesting architectural response and inspires designs that engage more completely with the natural surroundings.”
Alder Developments has kicked off an expression of interest campaign for a selection of prime residential homesites within the community, appointing Steve Marks of Explore Property Whitsunday to market the project.
“I’m personally excited to see the next chapter in this amazing development,” he said. “I have a long history of involvement with the site, being the original selling agent for the first stage over 12 years ago and each stage since. Alder Developments has re-invigorated the plans for Airlie Summit which is the last significant master-planned estate in Airlie Beach.
“We have been inundated with enquiries since Alder’s plans were unveiled to the market, indicating there is significant pent-up demand for prestige land in Airlie. This is the final major subdivision site in Airlie’s freehold land market and astute buyers recognise that this is an opportunity never to be repeated.”
The residential lots range in size from 622sqm to 1,027sqm+, with pricing to yet be released.
