Partnerships and community celebrated at Alder Annual
It was a wonderful night of appreciation and connection as we hosted the second Alder Annual with stakeholders, clients, and industry colleagues invited along to join in the celebrations.
The Alder Annual highlights the importance of fostering the partnerships that have fortified our business to date and it was wonderful to celebrate these relationships along with acknowledging the ongoing significance of upholding our values and community commitments as our company evolves.
Despite the myriad of challenges over the past three to four years throughout the development and construction industry, Alder has experienced considerable growth with the expansion of our geographical footprint throughout the Gold Coast, Brisbane, Ballina, and Whitsunday regions.
While this growth has been exciting it has highlighted the importance of remaining consistent with our values while upholding the company principles of an organisation that provides and maintains a family feel, that is agile and most importantly, is sustainable.
We know this is a tough industry with many challenges that need to be dealt with along the way, however, it’s how these challenges are handled that make the journey as positive as possible and ultimately achieve a desirable outcome for all involved. We believe this is achieved through the formation of partnerships built on trust and understanding.
As the company has grown it has become increasingly important for us to give back to the communities that have given us so much. We are proud of our continued commitment to fostering the new generation of construction workers through our Building Blocks program supported by Construction Skills Queensland (CSQ). This invaluable program has facilitated numerous site tours on our major education projects, student work experience, and Try a Trade days. Furthermore, our contribution as a main sponsor for the second year with the St Hilda’s Foundation is helping to encourage young women to consider a career in construction.
We have fortified our community commitment through the sponsorship of local sporting clubs including the Broadbeach Surf Life Saving Club, Palm Beach Currumbin Australian Football Club, Coomera Football and Soccer Club, and the Whitsunday Sailing Club.
At Alder we understand our people are the greatest asset of the organisation, and without good people guided by our core values of partnerships, teamwork, integrity and pride, we don’t exist. We also understand that without our valuable clients and stakeholders we also don’t exist. It is with our deepest gratitude that we express our thanks to everyone who we have had the opportunity to work with to date and will work with in the future.
