The scope of works involves the construction of a fully enclosed 20m indoor heated commercial pool facility, a children’s splashpad, plant room building, mechanical plant slab and external features.

Work Undertaken

  • Fully tiled heated indoor pool including lane markers and target tiles, full perimeter wet deck and teaching ledge, grab rails and backstroke posts.
  • Disabled hoist and ramp for disabled access. Built in stair access for general access.
  • Insitu concrete inground balance tank with recessed tiled access hatches.
  • Amenties include pool store, baby change area, toilets, shower and change area, disabled changing room (Includes built in specialised equipment), family changing room, first aid, office and kiosk/reception.
  • Pool concourse and all amenities (excluding office and first aid) is tiled with perimeter linear recessed grated drains, and full height wall tiling.
  • The pool building leads out to the external splashpad with full length bifold doors for open access between the indoor pool and the splashpad. The splashpad is a fun interactive aquatic play area.  Installation includes a total of 15 play ‘sea themed’ features including bollard activators, cannon sprayers, aquatic animal sprayers, water tunnel, fountain sprays/geysers and jet streams and a large 4m tall
spraying sea serpent that is cast into the slab. The finish to the splashpad is a bright and vibrant non slip colourcrete finish. The splashpad has it’s own separate precast inground balance tanks adjacent the splashpad. The splashpad is sun safe with large shade structures to be installed.
  • The pool and the splashpad are serviced from the new plant building. The specialised pool plant equipment includes Neptune Benson defender filtration system, Oasis heat pumps, Prominent dosing pumps, and Davey filtration pump system.
  • Full soft and hard landscaping including non-slip external pathways, feature trellis to blend in the existing plant area, Hercules security fencing to the full perimeter to the development.
  • The indoor pool building itself is constructed of a full steel portal structure paint treated to tolerate the harsh chemical and damp conditions. The externals include a spantech roof that has a self
supported cantilevered overhang over the main access; the cladding systems includes pre-finished spantech, Danpalon and paint finish exotec.
  • The pool plant building is rendered and painted blockwork. Roof structure is full paint treatment structural steel once again to tolerate the harsh conditions of the chemicals it’s exposed too.
