Project Details

Boonah Sewage Treatment Plant is a waste water treatment plant located about 40km west of Beaudesert in South East Queensland. Alder Constructions Pty Ltd has been awarded with the contract by Queensland Urban Utilities to carry out remediation works for the upgrade of the treatment plant.

The project involved locating and recording existing underground services for the area of approximately 5000m2, detailed earthworks, construction of an access road leading to the treatment plant, relocation of existing customer water pumps, re-installation of a customer water on newly constructed concrete slab, supply and installation of new service water main. This included valves, flow meters and concrete valve pits, electrical reticulation, installation of stormwater drainage, construction of a buffer lagoon concrete spillway, installation of weather station, water depth gauge indicators and construction of a Chemical Storage Facility Building.

The project started in mid June 2014 and was completed at the end of August  2014

  • Construction of access road pavement and 2 coats of bituminous seal

  • Construction of 450mm diameter stormwater pipe culvert
