Project Details

Alder Constructions constructed the new access road and car park for the Petrie Train Station that is located immediately adjacent to the project site as part of the Moreton Bay Rail Link (MBRL) Upgrade Project.

The works included the installation of all new services including stormwater and electrical, construction of new gravel and asphalt pavements, construction of concrete footpaths, signage, linemarking and landscaping for the access road and car park servicing Petrie Station.

Our team also completed the detailed earthworks and filling at all other station entry structures and platform foundations as part of the MBRL Project.

Some of the challenges involved with the Project included:

• Working adjacent to Queensland Rail Corridor.
• Control of site stormwater.
• Working around buried live services.
• Pedestrian management for rail commuters.
• Traffic management tie-ins. completed the detailed earthworks and filling at all other station entry structures and platform foundations as part of the MBRL Project.
