Project Details

Arcadia College is a progressive and future focused special assistance education facility. This new co-education secondary school focuses on a safe and inclusive environment encouraging student creativity, collaboration, nutrition and overall wellbeing. The new 3,000sqm building, located in the heart of Robina, increases the school’s capacity to 300 students across its new campus.

The facility houses the grade 7 to 12 classrooms, along with a student wellbeing centre which includes a nurse, psychologist and career counsellor. The new consolidated facility also includes a number of specialty rooms including hospitality, an IT hub, an HPE rock climbing wall, multipurpose basketball court and exterior playground equipment.

Scope of Works

Clearing and demolition of existing site including removal of acid sulphate soils.
Civil works including the Installation of 7 x 7KL OSD tanks and stormwater filtration system.
Installation screw pile foundations and sheet piling for shoring of basement.
Construction of a 20-space basement carpark incorporating a dual component HDPE bentonite waterproofing system to all wall and floor surfaces.
Dewatering of perched water to basement including regular environmental testing and sampling.
Construction of a four storey structure incorporating conventional, post tension and acoustic suspended slab systems.
Internal fit out including the use of unique materials such as plywood lining, internal face blockwork and a superb perforated ceiling design.
External landscaping including artificial turfing and concrete hardscaping.
Successful delivery of a challenging site with tight constraints and proximity to operational facilities.
