Alder Constructions was awarded the contract to complete the refurbishment of the Ashmore City Shopping Centre.

Working 24/7 in a live environment with extensive demolition, reinstatement works and installation of entrance structures, facade cladding and tiling, we maintained a safe and operational centre for all patrons and tenants.

This ensured we maintained a safe working for patrons and tenants while minimising impacts to operations during the day.

Scope of Works

Due to the age of the existing centre, latent and unknown conditions such as unprecedented screed depths, proved a challenge. Despite these
challenging conditions our team delivered the project ahead of schedule.
Internal demolition of existing mall tiles and reinstatement of new tiles. This included extensive screed removal to a record depth.
Demolition of existing amenities and installation of new public amenities and parents room.
Demolition of existing external facade.
Installation of new structural steel and facade cladding as well as new entrance structures and tenancy signage.
Installation of new fencing and concrete walls.
Demolition of external tiling and reinstatement with new tiles.
Extensive stakeholder management as well as detailed coordination and staging of works to maintain access for tenants and patrons.
