Constructed within a live campus environment, the project required careful planning to minimise disruption to adjacent classrooms and sporting fields. Works included bored piers, post-tension concrete slabs, blockwork and steel structures, full internal fit-out, and external works such as tree removal, excavation, footpaths, and roadways. The project was delivered through a collaborative design and construction process, with strict safety and environmental controls in place.
Beyond construction, the project delivered strong community outcomes. Alder facilitated hands-on training opportunities for local TAFE students, engaged 11 apprentices and injected $2 million into the local Gold Coast economy. Monthly reporting aligned with the Queensland Government’s TPAS framework ensured transparency and accountability in workforce participation and local engagement.
