Project Details

The latest project for TAFE Queensland – Ashmore Campus features a 5-storey specialty building which will be predominately used as an open-air educational facility (Class 9b) for training TAFE students in plumbing services.

Working in a live environment adjacent to operational classrooms and sporting fields, detailed sequencing of works and consideration to logistics, safety and environmental management, as well as stakeholder communication were key objectives to ensure successful outcomes for TAFE Queensland.

Scope of Works

Bored piers construction.
Slab on ground and elevated post-tension concrete slabs.
Blockwall and structural steel structures.
Internal fit-out includes internal linings and services including fire, hydraulic, electrical and data.
External works to prepare the site included removal of existing trees and excavation.
Finishing works will include concrete footpaths and bitumen roadways.
Working in live environment adjacent operational education facilities, access ways and sporting field.
Implementation of stringent safety and noise controls to ensure ongoing safety of campus users as well as minimising disruption.
Collaborative design management process in conjunction with project architect and key consultants.
