Alder Constructions’ history with the Australian Industry Trade College is long-standing and rewarding commencing with the design and construction of their first campus in Robina. The college construction featured two main buildings – 500m² administration wing and 1,265m² classroom wing. During the construction of these 2 wings, an additional mezzanine staff office and amenities level was added to the classroom block.
The design incorporated extensive green elements such as solar panels complete with data loggers and energy meters, smart C-Bus system integrated to power and lighting systems and also mechanical services system to ensure efficient operation at all times, rainwater harvesting tanks and a bio-retention basin.
Upon completion of the new campus, Alder Constructions’ Managing Director, Greg Alder went on to hold a charitable position on the board for 6 years before fulfilling an additional 3 year tenure as Chairperson.
