Alder Constructions were engaged by Logan City Council as part of the Council’s Active Logan strategy, to deliver the much anticipated redevelopment of the Beenleigh Aquatic Precinct.

The scope of works involves the construction of a fully enclosed 20m indoor heated commercial pool facility, a children’s splashpad, plant room building, mechanical plant slab and external features.

Scope of Works

  • Fully tiled heated indoor pool including lane markers and target tiles, full perimeter wet deck and teaching ledge, grab rails and backstroke posts.
  • Disabled hoist and ramp for disabled access. Built in stair access for general access.
  • Insitu concrete inground balance tank with recessed tiled access hatches.
  • Amenties, disabled changing room (Includes built in specialised equipment), family changing room, first aid, office and kiosk/reception.
  • The pool building leads out to the external splashpad with full length bifold doors for open access between the indoor pool and the splashpad.
  • The splashpad includes a total of 15 play ‘sea themed’ features including bollard activators, cannon sprayers, aquatic animal sprayers, water tunnel, fountain sprays/geysers and jet streams and a large 4m tall spraying sea serpent that is cast into the slab. The finish to the splashpad is a bright and vibrant non slip colourcrete finish. The splashpad has it’s own separate precast inground balance tanks adjacent the splashpad. The splashpad is sun safe with large shade structures to be installed.
  • Specialised pool plant room equipment including Neptune Benson defender filtration system, Oasis heat pumps, Prominent dosing pumps, and Davey filtration pump system.
  • Soft and hard landscaping including non-slip external pathways and security fencingg.
  • The externals include a spantech roof that has a self supported cantilevered overhang over the main access.
