Ideally situated on a parcel of land adjoining the Parkwood Golf course, the Parkwood Retirement Living complex is set to accommodate 200 luxury “un-retiring” apartments and extensive leisure amenities.

Under this civil early works contract, Alder Constructions completed the external roadworks and signalised intersection upgrade on Napper Road,
providing site entry and internal road, bulk earthworks, environmental management, relocation of existing services, backfill of existing and relocation of dam, new stormwater drainage and services reticulation, retaining walls, bus stop construction, hard and soft landscaping.

During earthworks construction, design of a dewatering solution for an existing dam was required. We engaged collaboratively with the design consultant and environmental specialists to develop a methodology of dewatering and relocating fish life and turtles to a nearby dam.

With challenging site conditions, the project team successfully navigated project delivery through two significant flood events in 2022, extremely challenging ground water and surface water conditions and extensive remediation of acid sulphate soils and unsuitable material.
