Project Details
This project involved the construction of the new Year 7 Classroom Block comprising of 6 new general learning areas and a music room opening up the amphitheatre within the Chapel Court. The works also included demolition to part of the existing building allowing for a major extension to the existing Library. This required detailed planning and staging of works to ensure the safety of school users and minimal disruption to school activities.
The project team worked collaboratively with the college and architects, Hamilton Hayes Henderson, in design and constructing additional scope of works being the outdoor feature terrace to the Chapel Court area.

- Demolishing part of an existing building and constructing the other works within the heart of the College all whilst still enabling it to be fully functional
- Provision of a bridge scaffold system and other associated pathways to provide safe access for the students and teachers around the construction zone
- Identification and relocation of an extensive network of existing in ground and above ground services.
- Bi-fold doors to all classrooms and acoustic treatment to all areas.
- Poly-carbonate panelling to screens and walkway roofs.
- Suspended slabs, timber sprung dance floor to music room, internal ramp to link floor levels.
- Lift in clock tower.
