Project Details

This specialist centre was a complete design and construct project and has become the new home for one of the Gold Coast’s most prominent Bone and Joint Specialists – The Orthopaedic Practice Pty Ltd.

The facility is designed to accommodate new patient consultation and post-operation care, treatment, observation and rehabilitation. The building consists of a full-sized basement carpark with ground floor office and consultancy including patient waiting areas, doctor and professional health services suites, treatment rooms and amenities.

Scope of Works

The full-sized basement carpark was constructed in dunal sands which required a mixture of sheet piling and contiguous piling. The final solution ensured neighbouring buildings were not damaged.
Due to the extremely tight boundary constraints, planning and staging of the works was required to ensure maximum efficiency and productivity during the build and minimal disruption to neighbouring properties and street users.
Installation of a 30kW solar system bank that runs the building free of mains power during standard facility operating hours.
Basement and retaining structures.
Ground Floor structures and roofing.
Internal fit-out and finishes.
External feature cladding and rendering.
External civil carparking and landscaping works.
